Can you get a college scholarship for being on the auxillary dance team?

i need to persuade my mom to let me be on the dance team. she wants me to be in the marching band to get a scholarship for college. if you could please give websites that are related.
yea i was talking about the dance line with the band.
some do, but you need to send a highlight video with your application, and talk to the director about getting on.

it depends on what school you ar applying to i am sure there is some school that does but if you dont plan on pursuing that as a career after college then its not worth it

You get an auxiliary scholarship….if the person who got the real scholarship doesn't make the cut, then you get the money…..

Do you mean the dance line in the marching band? Or the school dance team that is not affiliated with the band?
I will tell you that at my university, Band (instrument) scholarships went up to like $1300/semester, (fall or spring), but the the danceteam, color guard, and majorettes got only $200. Plus, you have to pay for the expensive practice and performance uniforms that they wear.
Now, the dance team–yes, they got scholarships too, but I don't know the amount. I would imageine that its a lot more competition, though.
